Picture watery pathways that weave around bones, muscles, organs throughout the body. It truly deserves the name Connective Tissue. If we could take this Fascia web away, bones and muscle would simply collapse. This multidimensional Fascia spiderweb communicates and regulates our Nervous System and researchers are uncovering tremendous effects on our immune system.

Fascia is our highspeed information network, it reacts immediately to threats, danger and even listens to our negative self talk before the words have formed in the conscious mind.

‘Dis’ease may stem from negative beliefs and habits which have formed brittle, dry and stuck information pathways. Many New Zealanders have experienced the ‘tough love’ approach to shut down complaints, encourage resilience, or call out weakness. Whilst ‘Harden-up’ got us somewhere, Wellbeing demands Balance.

In order to Rejuvenate and Release Fascia, we have to ‘FEEL SAVE’. If you suffer from chronic Stress, you may give yourself a hard time and it may seems impossible to find relief.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? Neurological connections in the Brain and Fascial connections form immediate. Cognitive change requires practice, curiosity and willingness to look within.

Physical tension release requires a brief daily practice in a ‘safe space’. It’s not Rocket Science but quick fixes are for fairy tales, however a lasting state of Peace is absolutely possible.

The nervous system is woven through the fascial web that surrounds every organ, muscle, and vessel. This connective matrix is the body’s most densely innervated sensory organ, carrying a constant stream of mechanical, chemical, and vibrational information to the brain.

Stiff, dehydration is a lack of quality

A loss of gliding reduces the quality of this sensory reception. Our nervous system shifts toward protection and defense rather than regulation and balance. What begins as local stiffness becomes a global shift in neural behavior, altering breath, coordination, and emotional regulation.

Dense, irregular tissue exists because your body has been compensating for years. This fibrous tissue can tend to get stuck in areas – otherwise known as “knots”. Over time and with injury it can also develop adhesions from any operations or surgical procedures.

A daily 10min routine for strengthening and 10min for Releasing. Learn which  Yin pose is supportive for you, allow mindful opening, fascial release and hydration.

Repetitive, prolonged contraction in the neck can lead to fascial stiffening, reduced fluid flow, nerve trapping.

Hydrated Fascia & Space

Fascia is connective tissue that is woven around each and every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein in our bodies, as well as internal organs, including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord. It quite literally holds us together. This fibrous tissue can get stuck.

5 minute Gentle Reset

Fascia is connected from our head to our toes. Remember, each Breath is a powerful massage for all internal Organs. Spend 3-5min of mindful stretching each day and support fascial ease and hydration.

Teens & Screens

Connecting Dots

Fascia connection release real time. All it requires is a safe place to lengthen the tissue, breathe and wait 3-5 minutes is sufficient. A regular practice establishes newly drawn pathways.

5 minute Gentle Reset

Lie on your back and stretch your arms overhead. Slide your legs and torso slightly to one side so your body forms a banana shape. Few deep breath, a yawn, and keep this for a good 3-5 minutes.

Your feet are your foundation

When they are stiff or numb, ankles lock up, knees compensate, hips grip and the spine compensates.

Your feet gather information

for your entire body. A daily practice can be deeply resetting. Place your feet up the wall, while the rest of the body is supported and resting. I like to tell my feet that I am indeed deeply grateful for their amazing work.

When your feet strengthen

You become strong and responsive, everything above them gets more stable and more free.

Fascia is very strong stuff, you have 18-23kg of it which should lift a ton without damage. The most amazing part is, that it recoils and pulls itself back together. It can restrict Nerves and cause intense pain. Fascial pain feel like it’s spreading compared to a more pointy muscular pain.
